The short version

CrestoFitis a fitness journaling app for iPhone. Use it to track your habits, level up, and compete with friends. Don't treat its numbers as medical advice, don't cheat on the scoreboard, and don't blame us if your scale is wrong.

Acceptance

By downloading or using CrestoFit, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. We'll post material changes to this page and bump the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Your account

CrestoFitis fully usable without a network account — log entries, stats, and quests work entirely on-device. If you sign in with Apple to join a squad, you're responsible for the security of your Apple ID and for activity under your in-app handle. Don't share your sign-in with someone else.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Manipulate XP, fabricate logs, or tamper with the ranking system
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate other squad members
  • Pick a display name that's misleading, hateful, or impersonates a real person you're not
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or rebrand the app
  • Probe, automate, or stress-test our backend (Firestore) outside normal app usage
  • Use CrestoFit to share content that's illegal where you live

Squad members can leave or remove each other; we may also remove a squad member or terminate an account that violates these rules. If a squad goes off the rails, the squad owner can disband it and everyone keeps their individual progression.

Not medical advice

CrestoFit is a fitness journaling tool, not a medical device. Calorie estimates, food classifications, sleep breakdowns, and rank labels are approximations. They are not diagnoses. Do not use them as a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or mental-health advice. If you have a health condition, an eating disorder history, or are pregnant, consult a qualified clinician before relying on any of CrestoFit's estimates to change your behavior.

If you experience a medical emergency, call your local emergency services. Do not use CrestoFit to manage urgent care.

Health data

Apple Health data CrestoFitreads stays on your device. We do not transmit it, sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to build profiles. The full list of fields and how they're used is in our Privacy Policy. Apple's HealthKit terms require this and we comply.

Subscriptions & pricing

CrestoFitis free during beta. If we introduce paid tiers later, they'll be clearly marked, billed through the App Store under Apple's terms, and cancelable any time from your Apple ID subscriptions page. We will not start a paid tier without first notifying users in-app.

User content

Logs, photos, meal descriptions, mood notes, and any other content you create in CrestoFitbelong to you. We don't claim ownership and we don't access them — they live in your iPhone's local storage, encrypted at rest by iOS. The squad scoreboard fields you choose to share (display name, XP, streak, etc.) are still yours; we only host them so other squad members can see the leaderboard.

Intellectual property

The CrestoFitname, the “Crest of Fitness” tagline, the crest mark, the visual design, and the source code are ours. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app under these terms.

Third-party services

CrestoFit uses Apple HealthKit, Apple Sign-in, and Google Firebase as described in our Privacy Policy. Their terms and privacy practices apply to the parts of the experience they provide. We're not responsible for outages or behavior changes on those platforms.

Beta software

CrestoFit is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice. Crashes happen. If you hit one, anonymous crash reports help us catch it; you can email developer.crestofit@gmail.com for anything urgent.

Warranty disclaimer

CrestoFitis provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calorie estimates, food classifications, or squad leaderboards will be accurate. Your use is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CrestoFitand its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or health outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of the app — even if we've been advised of the possibility. Where local law doesn't permit limitation of liability, our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the prior 12 months (which, during the free beta, is zero).

Termination

You can stop using CrestoFit any time by deleting the app and (if you signed in with Apple) revoking access in iOS Settings → Apple ID. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer in another country, you keep the protections your local law gives you that can't be waived by contract.

Changes

We'll update this page if anything material changes and bump the date at the top. We'll also surface meaningful changes inside the app on next launch.
